The Objective

Pon Fit wants to be considered as the healthiest company in the Netherlands. The company’s ambition is to ensure that they have a healthy organisation by providing opportunities for employees to participate in sporting events, whilst offering state-of-the-art care
packages, and annual health-checks for all employees. Whilst all the time encouraging eating wholesome and nutritious food. The company goal is for employees to get fit… and stay fit.

The Challenge

To organise and arrange a 24-hour cycling event at the Nürburgring in Germany for 80 Pon Fit employees to participate in. Pon Fit employees are sport and health specialists rather than event experts, and did not have the capability to organise participation into a sport event.

The Solution

For the organisation of the event, Pon Fit needed the help of experts, whilst they could focus on their core business. ATPI Sports Events has years of experience with small and large sporting events and vitality programmes.

After an initial and comprehensive inspection of the circuit by the ATPI Sports Events Project Manager, the necessary actions required to execute the Pon Fit event became clear.

ATPI sourced the hospitality venue, arranged the transport of bicycles and screened the participants. The creative department of ATPI Sports Events, advised the client to adopt the name ‘Pon’s Champions’ for the 24-hour cycle ride. This made the participants immediately feel like champions. Plus they were promoted as an example and as a motivation for the rest of the staff, communicated through the internal social media platform.

The Result

The event was delivered so professionally, that even a cycling team at the Tour de France would have been envious!

The ATPI Concept and Creation team developed all on-site communication, branding and also themed the VIP box, the Pit Box and Paddock.

ATPI organised all logistics, the catering and Audio Visual material. They delivered healthy eating and drinking during the event, and ensured that cyclists could pause to watch the event on big screens. ATPI also arranged physiotherapists, spare bicycles and bike technicians to check tyres during the pit stops.

ATPI Sports Events took everything into account. ‘Pon’s Champions’ is now a key part of Pon Fit, as ATPI Sports Events demonstrated a wonderful example of a sporting event in which the participants
were true champions!
